Personal data administrator
The administrator of personal data is Tau Nowacki sp.k. with its registered office in Warsaw (“TAU”). Personal data collected by TAU are processed on the terms set out in the provisions on the protection of personal data, including egulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”) and in Polish regulations issued in connection with the GDPR. Scope and purposes of personal data processing
As part of its activities, TAU collects and processes personal data: (a) for purposes arising from legitimate interests pursued by TAU as a data controller: in order to provide services to clients, information about TAU services, including events organized by TAU or in which TAU participates in, as well as for analytical and statistical purposes and to ensure ICT security related to the tau.legal website (legal basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR); (b) in order to perform contracts concluded with customers, in order to cooperate with suppliers and other cooperating entities (legal basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR); (c) in order to recruit people interested in working or cooperating with TAU (legal basis, respectively, Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). We also process personal data within the scope of fulfilling the legal obligations incumbent on TAU (legal basis – Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR).
Your rights
The processing of your personal data is carried out on a voluntary basis. The processing of personal data as part of the provision of legal assistance services is regulated in contracts concluded with clients or in the general terms and conditions regarding the provision of legal services. Sending commercial information by electronic means is conditional on obtaining your prior consent, including by subscribing to the newsletter or by submitting an order to receive specific information. In accordance with the principles set out in the legal provisions on the protection of personal data and to the extent provided therein, you have the right to access your personal data, the right to rectify, delete or limit processing and the right to transfer data. Some of these rights may not apply to the processing of data as part of the provision of legal assistance. If you do not want TAU to process your personal data for marketing purposes, you can object to the processing of personal data for this purpose at any time. If you have consented to the processing of personal data, you can withdraw it at any time, however, the withdrawal of consent will not affect the processing of data that took place before its withdrawal. You have the right to lodge a complaint related to the processing of personal data by TAU to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
Processing period
Personal data will be processed, respectively, until the relevant legitimate interests pursued by TAU as the data controller related to the processing of specific data are fulfilled, until the expiration of the limitation periods related to the contract to which the processing of personal data is related, or related to the limitation of obligations arising from provisions of law, until an objection is raised regarding processing for marketing purposes.
Transfer of personal data to other entities
The recipients of your personal data may be, in particular, entities related to TAU, in particular in an organizational or personal way, which would be based in one of the Member States of the European Union, as well as external service providers such as entities providing IT services, including cloud computing services, entities providing services in the field of marketing activities and other entities processing data on behalf of TAU on the basis of an agreement to entrust the processing of personal data), accountants, statutory auditors and auditors, lawyers, administration bodies, state services and courts. Your personal data is processed at TAU’s headquarters. Personal data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union. In the event of transferring personal data to third countries outside the EU, TAU will apply appropriate instruments to ensure the security of your personal data. TAU, in connection with cooperation with its suppliers and other law firms, may entrust the processing of your personal data to the above-mentioned entities, however, in each case, these entities will be obliged to maintain the confidentiality of your personal data and to process them in accordance with the provisions on on the protection of personal data and the relevant instructions of TAU.
Profiling
Your personal data will not be subject to profiling as one of the forms of automated processing of personal data.
Changes of the Policy
TAU may change the applicable privacy policy, in particular in order to adapt it to the requirements set out in applicable law, by informing about the changes made on the tau.legal website.
